Learning the Drums in Easy Way
Would you like to learn how to play drum in an easy way? Actually, there is a step by step process which specially to made for a newbie in drummer’s world. This will give you a syllabus regarding drumming skills and abilities.
Hi hats are represented as “x” symbol in the sheet music. There are two modes of playing the hi-hats: first is by hitting with the drumstick and second is using your left foot on the pedal.
Ride cymbal also utilizes “x” symbol as a notation. This part of the drum set is normally played during heavy rock music, and done by intermediate drum player.
Snare drum in the music sheet is simply a note that lies at the line’s center. The snare drum is the central part and most valuable part of a drum set. Snare drum should be mastered by heart.
The bass drum is played together with the snare drum, which gives a good beat when the sounds are mixed up. The bass drum gives the lowest frequency sound in the drum set. It is played by stepping the right foot on the drum pedal.
Standard counting and proper timing.
The rudiments of counting time must be studied thoroughly to play the drum beat perfectly. You can begin learning the proper timing and counting by exercising in a single drum, while reading the drum notes given by the instructor.
First drum beat.
In making your first drum piece, begin trying each component of the drum set one by one. It will guide you so you won’t be lost in the middle of the show.
